Happy Wednesday everyone! I want to share with you my experience this weekend at the Skechers Friendship Walk. Having a niece with special needs, it’s a cause that is near and dear to my heart, and I am truly so proud of everyone that showed up to support. I have been a part of this event since it started 7 years ago. Each year it has gotten BIGGER and BETTER!
Michael Greenberg, the President of Skechers has really taken the annual Skechers Pier to Pier work to the next level. His passion and leadership has brought such great awareness and community to this amazing cause. With the ongoing partnership with The Friendship Circle, an organization that brings together teenage volunteers and children with special needs for hours of fun and friendship, the Walk has been able to empower the children and everyone involved. My daughter, Katie, has volunteered with The Friendship Circle and absolutely LOVED spending time with the kids!
Over 12,000 people walked this year. It was the largest Walk to date, and we raised OVER 1.4 million dollars! How amazing is that?!
I was honored to lead the walkers and host the event along with Sugar Ray Leonard, Tommy Lasorda and Brooke Burke. It is always great to see the both of them! I love how we can all come together for this special event.
Thank you to everyone that came and supported! We are increasing awareness for our community and creating a better environment for all of our kids.
SO PROUD OF YOU ALL!
Love always Your Personal Trainer,
Denise
