I’m excited to announce my new partnership with AARP! As their Wellness Ambassador, I’ll be advocating what I’ve believed in for over 35 years: a healthy lifestyle that you can sustain every day for a happier life.
Whether I’m talking about balanced eating, taking a walk every day, or spending quality time with your loved ones, it all comes back to the same purpose: living a fulfilled, happy life—regardless of your age.
Getting older doesn’t mean that you have to feel or act old. We have to embrace our age without letting it define us. I’m almost 60, but I have just as much energy as I did when I was 20. I can still do a cartwheel! I still have strong abs! And plenty of people older than me are doing things that their kids can’t do. The idea is that it’s not how old you are; its how you feel and how you live that matters. It’s all about your attitude.
This is what AARP’s Disrupt Aging movement is all about. I think of it as redefining aging, because not only are we breaking through the barriers of aging, but we’re also redefining what it means to be in your 40s, 50s, 60s. I love helping people live healthier lives, no matter how old they are. We’re all going through it together—whether it’s, shaping up after having a baby, going through menopause, staying healthy in our busy lives, or making sure you have a balance between work and family. We’re going to do this together.
